Hi my name is Jamie Keith CET. CCHI.
I am a Civil Engineering Technologist (Registered with ASET) as well as a Canadian Certified Home Inspector (Registered with InterNACHI).
Since usually we don't meet until the day of the home inspection, here is a little bit about me:
♦ I am a Civil Engineering Technologist with a broad back ground in substrates, concrete, foundations, structural
systems with a focus on Structural wood. My major research project dealt with the post and beam systems and building of straw houses. This is a 30 month full time co-op learning program thru NAIT, which I graduated from with honors.
♦ I am a current member in good standing of ASET (Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta). This involves graduating from a recognized technological program, passing an ethical examination as well as ongoing educational or developmental requirements.
♦ I am a current member in good standing of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors). This involves following InterNACHI's standards of practice as well as over 200 hours of education along with ongoing educational requirements to keep current with new problems as they occur.
♦ I am a registered and licensed Home Inspector with the Alberta Government. This means that I meet all licensing requirements for the province of Alberta, some of which are education, experiance, bonding and insurance.
♦ I am a CCHI (Canadian Certified Home Inspector) a level of superior Home Inspector as recognized by Alberta InterNachi. This means that I meet all training requirements as well as all other requirement.
♦ I am currently the Treasurer for the Alberta branch of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors).
♦ I have inspected over 1500 new homes while working for Strathcona County municipal government with the
planning and development department.
♦ With 6 years in structural wood manufacturing management specializing in overseeing of the framing, quality and finishing of structural members, used in everything from residential framing all the way up to large sports arena's and everything in between.
♦ Over 15 years in construction and renovating, including framing of houses, fencing, decks, roofing and renovating whole basements.
♦ I am very passionate about customer service, too often I am disappointed in how I have been taken care of. My number one goal is to do the job that you hire me for, on time, on budget and explain to you in a straight forward way what the gobbley gook means. I believe that you can not go too far in satisfying the customer.
♦ I participate in Rally Racing with the Edmonton Rally Club, as well as working on cars (my 81 Z28 is a favorite).
